It also performed well in our cooling test, however we don't like the plastic handles or the fragile crisper bins.
One thing that sets the RF23M8090SG apart is its Bespoke line which lets you personalize your fridge with removable colored panels that can be swapped out whenever you get tired of the current ones. There are 11 different colors, ranging from pastels to more vibrant shades. There are also four metallic finishes. These panels can be customized to include photos or text. This will make the fridge more personal and can match your Rick Owens dress, Andy Warhol banana neon or tie-dye Crocs.
You can even change the color of the fridge's LED lighting, which is pretty. The interior of the refrigerator features a sleek finish that minimizes smudges, and makes cleaning easier. The only negatives to the RF23M8090SG are its slightly congested beverage center and some learning curve in opening the door-in-door feature that houses a water pitcher and a dispenser. You have to feel for a lever on the underside of the door halfway across, and when you have it, it opens another door inside the fridge, which houses the docking station for pitchers as well as the water dispenser, and two shelves for drinks.

That's reflected in our heat maps which show how the interior temps fluctuate minute by minute. The butter bin in the orange region in the upper right corner is extremely warm during our testing period. It might not seem to be a problem initially however, the fridge spends most of its time above 32 degrees.
It's also worth noting that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which may be a factor for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's just not a particularly great fridge, and the absence of modern features and a sturdy construction make it hard to recommend over better options at this price point.
In many ways, the Frigidaire looks and feels like the stainless steel model of fridge you might see on display at the local appliance store. It's a good choice with a brushed-finish that looks nice and is resistant against streaks. However it's not able to distinguish itself from its competitors which are more feature-rich and more affordable.
However, if you're looking for a cheap counter-depth French door fridge and don't have the budget to spend a lot on our top selections for you, then the FGHC2331PF is worth looking into. It has enough storage space for most families, and it is able to keep food fresh. Even if it's not an energy-efficient model, it won't even come close to costing as much as our highest-rated models do.
